Free Range Chicken – FAQs
Free range chicken refers to chickens raised on open pasture where they can roam freely, forage naturally, and live without cages or overcrowded sheds. At Falah Farms, our native Desi chickens spend their entire lives on open fields in Bangiala, Islamabad — eating natural insects, grains, and grasses.
Broiler chickens are raised in crowded sheds with artificial lighting, fed growth hormones, and reach slaughter weight in 35–40 days. Our free range Desi chickens grow naturally over 6–12 months — resulting in denser, firmer, more flavourful meat with significantly more protein and less water content.
We offer both options. You can purchase our Desi chickens as live birds for your own farm, or order them dressed and cleaned with your preferred cut (whole, 12 pcs, boneless, or qeema). WhatsApp us to arrange.
Our Desi Rooster (Murga) and Desi Hen (Murgi) meat options are priced at Rs. 2,650 (with skin option at +Rs. 300) — significantly more than broiler, but the nutritional quality and flavour are incomparable. These are genuine pasture-raised birds, not commercial breeds.
